The group share songs, games, and imaginative play for days, but Captain Hook kidnaps Tiger Lily, enticing the Darlings, Peter Pan, and the Lost Boys to his ship to attempt a rescue.

Will the children liberate Tiger Lily and vanquish the wiley pirates? Shall the Lost Boys remain children forever or return home? Find out when you watch this memorable Broadway show this December that lovingly raises growing-up topics alongside adventure.

Origins

The 1904 original play that influenced the musical rendition dove into tricky concepts of boring adult responsibilities versus childhood dreams. The musical plays out with similar elements while adding enchantment and modern flair.

Influential actress Mary Martin’s leading performance is an important part of the musicals widespread success. Her gender-bending role as Peter Pan was a testament to progress for that time. That show continued snagging Tonys and a Drama Desk award for over a decade. The 1960 film recording would also memorialize the story and bring the musical to TVs at home.
